A New Camera!

Back in July we bought me a new camera which, due to the fact that it didn’t have a viewfinder, as hard as I tried I just couldn’t get on with it. I wrote this post  at the time.

After much humming and haa-ing and then much research I splurged and bought myself a Panasonic Lumix DMC fz200 and have to say I’m thrilled to bits with it. It’s taken some time to become familiar with the menu and all that this camera has to offer but with the invaluable help of Graham Houghton’s YouTube videos I now know the basics. This week I had a bit of practice in the woods and garden snapping the last flowers and a couple of mushrooms, including a few Macro shots. There are differing opinions about this camera, as of course there is with everything, but I think the shots it produces have superb clarity and colour. There’s still lots to learn and much experimenting to be done, so roll on some fine and sunny winter weather. In the meantime here are a few of the first pics with the Lumix.

  1. Thanks Amy! I’m so pleased with this camera. It’ll take some getting used to, and I want to do more planning of shots rather than just using the Auto function as I’ve done in the past! 🙂

  3. They say a sign of getting old is mis-typing things – tee-hee! Thanks for your support Kris. I am truly enjoying the new camera, and have even been in macro mode! Great things may yet appear on my this blog!
