Winter Jasmine is a wonderful splash of colour at this time of year.
This is lovely Jude. A promise of hope in the middle of winter.
I need some hope! This is the worst winter I’ve ever experienced. It never seems to get properly light anymore. Maybe I’ve got SADS!
What a beautiful flower. I’ve never seen a jasmine like that in bloom. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Terri. I cut the plant back this autumn because it was going mad. The severe pruning seems to have brought on lots more flowers than ever before.
The only colour around to cheer us up!
Forsythia already! LOVE IT!
Your comment made me so curious I just did a Google search on the difference between forsythia and winter jasmine. I’m not much of a gardener! From what I just read I think this actually is winter jasmine. Interestingly it also says that its blooming is improved by pruning – which I did this year. It’s a mass of bloom at the moment. So cheering. 🙂
winter jasmine must be a very welcome flower, the gentle yellow brings sunshine to the landscape (sounds like you need it) 🙂
You’re so right – especially with no sign of anything yellow up in the sky!
😀 The color strongly emanates. It makes it completely noticeable. Just beautiful.
Especially when there is no other color around! And the flowers are so delicate.
