The Past and the Present. The present represented by the pretty green grasses and flowers, and the past depicted in the old photograph of the D-Day landings at Juno beach in northern France: the first Canadians to greet the French. There were many more photos along that wall close to the beach.

The reality of what occurred in WWll is very personal for me. The sacrifice involved in destroying that evil overwhelms me, as does the horror that took place.

Mike we visited some of the graveyards in northern France – rows upon rows of white crosses. Young men, boys; robbed of an entire life. It made me want to cry. I couldn’t understand it.
